This recipe was perfect!! It is on page 131 of
Fresh from the Vegetarian Slow Cooker. Gluten-meat, mushrooms, red wine, slow cooked for hours.. can't go wrong. I will definitely make this again.
And for dessert..
a sundae made of Soy Delicious chocolate ice cream, canned peaches, chocolate sauce, dried cranberries and candied peanuts.

Oooooh, I'm all about sundaes! Just about the only thing that can take my mind off the delicious-looking seitan/mushroom creation!

I keep forgetting to link you up on my list of bloggies, which I'll go right now!
Seitan & 'shrooms are a match made in heaven.
Now you've got me wishing for a slow cooker! Looks great.
I'm a little behind in my blog reading! Your seitan dish looks wonderful - and I love mushrooms - I shall have to try this!!! Thanks so much for the nudge :)
Best wishes for 2008!
Hi - I just found your blog. Looks great. I've had the same problem with the VWAV peanut butter cookies. I also love ethiopian food and ingera...so it seems we have a lot in common!
That's so awesome you love Cold War Kids (Stellarness to that! We have a band in common!)
Even though Sweeney Todd is "bloody" you can watch the beginning of it. :-)
And you, my dear, look hot in your picture as well. <3
Fancy! I totally need that cookbook!
And your ice cream looks awesome. I had a much less healthy version tonight, with chocolate sauce and sprinkles. Mmm.
